If you’re a normal human being- which I don’t necessarily claim to be, though in this instance I am- you have daydreamed about what you would do if you won the lottery, received a hefty inheritance from a long lost relative, or discovered a bag full of cash on the side of the road somewhere. While I haven’t spent a lot of time thinking on this (mostly because I don’t play the lottery, I’m pretty sure I know all of my relatives, and I’m too busy worrying about 4 kids not running in the street or talking to random strangers on the road to pay attention to what may or may not be laying on the side of the road), I do know what I’d likely do with said money. First, give at least 10% to my church. Second, pay off my house. And third, take my family on a wonderful vacation. Sure, college funds, helping those in need, sharing with family (because I love them so), and some shopping would be in there too, but if I’m honest and realistic those top three would remain the same, in that order.
So the next question is, where would I go? I haven’t thought about this part too terribly much because- as I stated before- the likelihood of receiving a large sum of money is zero to negative 1 million. I AM, however, starting to think more on that destination now thanks to the Jif To Go #GetGoing photo promotion!! Now through October 1, 2014, Jif To Go is celebrating life on-the-go by asking fans to share a picture of how they get going in the #GetGoing photo promotion. Fans can enter each week for a chance to win $1,000 to use for their next adventure. Isn’t that awesome?!!!

Perhaps you post snapshots of your adorable kiddos on your Facebook page, tweet a pic of your delicious dinner entree, or Instagram a selfie. Now picture yourself doing nothing different other than sharing with Jif. Okay, it’s a tiny bit more detailed than that, but super-duper easy. There are five ways to enter. Here’s more info:
During the Promotion Period, you can enter by one of the following methods outlined below. For all entry methods, take a photo depicting how you get going and post and tag photo with @Jif and #GetGoing. (“Photo”). Photos will not be judged.
The Jif® Website: You can enter the Promotion by going to http://www.jif.com/promotions/jif-to-go (the “Website”) and following the instructions to register and upload your Photo to receive one entry (“Entry”) into the random drawing for the corresponding Weekly Entry Period.
Jif Facebook Page: Access the Jif Facebook Page (facebook.com/jif), click on the Jif To Go Promotion tab to access the Promotion application and then follow the directions to register and upload your Photo to receive one Entry into the random drawing for the corresponding Weekly Entry Period. If you do not have a Facebook account, you may sign up for a free Facebook account at www.facebook.com.
Instagram Post: Share your Photo on your personal Instagram page and tag your Photo with @JifBrand and the hashtag #GetGoing in the caption of the Photo to receive one Entry into the random drawing for the corresponding Weekly Entry Period. A free Instagram account can be created by visiting http://Instagram.com and following the appropriate link to download the free Instagram smart phone application to your mobile device, or visit your mobile device’s application store from your mobile device.
Iconosquare Post: Access the Jif To Go Page on Inconosquare at http://iconosquare.com/contests/jif-to-go and follow the directions to upload your Photo, complete the registration process, and receive one Entry into the random drawing for the corresponding Weekly Entry Period.
Twitter Post: You must have a non-private Twitter account and follow the Twitter account @jif. If you do not have a Twitter account, you may sign up for a free Twitter account at www.twitter.com. To follow the account @jif, sign in to Twitter.com using your Twitter ID, then go to http://www.twitter.com/jif and click on “Follow.” Send a non-private Tweet with your Photo and the #GetGoing hashtag to the @jif handle and receive one Entry into the random drawing for the corresponding Weekly Entry Period.
Which brings me back to, “Where would I go”? With a family of 6 travel anywhere isn’t cheap, so to have an extra $1,00o to assist would be amazing. We’d really like to take the kids to Hawaii, a place we’ve been blessed to see a couple of times since we’ve been married. In my mind not much beats a tropical location, and Hawaii would be easiest for our family (no passports, no unknowns). Ah, I’ll be dreaming about it tonight, I’m sure. AND crossing my fingers that I’ll be one of the lucky winners!
